anyone know the following
Railway's Postgres volume I/O is capped at 3,000 IOPS regardless of size or plan — and my workload needs vastly more throughput to handle 1,000 index scans per request in under 2 seconds at 265–1.3 TB scale. I'm currently evaluating new providers for the database only and will keep the services on railway. Can you let me know the following so that I can choose properly:
Exact physical location of us-west2 (city, country)
Cloud provider — Railway Metal, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
Whether there's a public datacenter list per region

Railway uses their own servers.

Their docs just say California. https://www.datacentermap.com/usa/california/ is a list of all the CA data-centers. My guess would be that they are in the SF area as that is where the talent pool is.
I would deploy a tiny HTTP server there and measure latency to it from the various cloud providers you are considering for your data store. The internet backbone is often more complicated than just "closer = better".

us-west2 is Railway Metal in California, USA. It isn't AWS/GCP — Railway says Metal runs on Railway-managed hardware.
I don't think the exact city/facility is published. The current region docs only identify it as California, USA, and Railway's public region list doesn't go down to datacenter/city level.
So for your questions:
us-west2 → California, USA
provider → Railway Metal / Railway-managed hardware
public region list → yes, but only region-level locations, not the exact facility
Since you're choosing an external DB provider, I'd probably deploy a tiny service in us-west2 and test latency to the candidate DB regions instead of guessing the city. That'll give you a much better answer for the actual network path.
