The _railway-verify TXT record is used for domain ownership verification. It should be kept in place - we use it to verify your continued ownership of the domain, which is needed for ongoing SSL certificate management and renewals.

You will always need a TXT record; otherwise, our system will not issue a certificate.

I'm a bit confused. For previously manually added CNAME record (before there is a One-click DNS setup), I did not add a TXT record that time, and was not asked to add a TXT record. Do I need re-add the DNS record & TXT record through One-click DNS Setup again?

You do not need to re-add domains that where previously set up.
