Update, template is fixed, it was missing a newly added CRON_SECRET variable, you may deploy the template again.

And again, thanks for the report!

I just deployed a brand new Formbricks template and it deployed fine.

Maybe you had an old template config cached, try clearing the cache for railway.app and deploying the template again.

Are you making sure to deploy a whole new template? not just redeploying the service?

It is working when I create a new project. I guess I will Have to recreate the forms since the existing project is not getting fixed by redeploying. Thank you slightly_smiling_face emoji

You would need to manually add the CRON_SECRET variable as updating my template does not update your deployed service, the room for abuse would be huge if that was the case.

Hey brody, I am from Formbricks team, thank you for the Formbricks template. While deploying it, I noticed that the env variables SMTP_HOST, SMTP_PORT, SMTP_USER and SMTP_PASSWORD are marked as required in template, but in our app they are not. Ideally if user wont set this env variables, they would still be able to use Formbricks without email service. So can you please make them optional ?blush emoji

Guys, the template isn't working, I'm simply trying to deploy with a brand new database and I'm having trouble running the following migration: 20241017124431_add_documents_and_insights.

Is version 3.0.0 really broken or am I missing something?

UPDATE: In fact, after checking the update logs, I saw that the problem is in the Postgres image that comes with this template. I currently see that pgvector is required for Formbricks 3.x to work, and this template is using Postgres with the postgres:15-alpine image.

I just created a new Postgres database using the pgvector/pgvector:pg17 image and the deployment worked. It would be interesting if you made this correction in the template to avoid errors like this for other users. Thanks!

I've updated the template to use a pgvector database, thank you very much for letting me know!

Use this ghcr.io/formbricks/formbricks:latest instead of the old image

The template uses - formbricks/formbricks:latest

https://hub.docker.com/layers/formbricks/formbricks/latest/images/sha256-e685da8f98d158fba89fb7ca1718a4f71d4e0a4e24ad3184a900838585561caa

https://github.com/formbricks/formbricks/pkgs/container/formbricks/325513991?tag=latest

Both published 26 days ago as of writing this, so I'm not sure what makes the image hosted on Dockerhub the old image? can you explain your reasonings?

Hi brody! The template is not working. It fails during health checks. Thx in advance.

Hello,

I'm sorry but it is currently out of my hands, this is an upstream issue with Formbrick's docker image -

https://github.com/formbricks/formbricks/issues/4713

You can check your deploy logs to see that the issue preventing the healthcheck from passing is the same issue in that link.

You will have to wait until they release a new fixed image.

Best,
Brody

Hi Brody!

I hope you’re doing well. I’m running into an issue with Formbricks after hitting my credit limit, and I’m not sure how to resolve it. Could you please let me know if there’s anything you can do to help?

Thank you very much for your time slightly_smiling_face emoji

I can take a quick look, please open your own thread and select the form bricks service while doing so.
