I worked on a project a few months ago that required load balancing for internal services with multiple replicas. in order to achieve that we created a load-balancer proxy service to spread out the traffic across all replicas of a specific service.

If you're trying to achieve the same thing you can use this template as a load-balancer, it's super easy to use and very light weight.
