australia-southeast1 region would be awesome. Needed for many Australian projects due to data sovereignty guidelines.

Would love to use this at my startup but can't due to data regulation laws

I am pro-ANZAC region but need more upvotes until we send one of our members who are part of The Commonwealth in purchasing metal and setting up a datacenter there.
Potentially stupid question: is this blocking you all from bringing company workloads over?

+1 for Aus region.

Hi Angelo!
Yeah this is stopping us from migrating to railway. The financial laws require the data to be hosted in Australia

It'd be great to be able to migrate to Railway. However we are also subject to the Australian data sovereignty requirements of our customers which means we need to stay on AWS / Fly.

yes, needed for latency

+1 we're looking at moving from Heroku and this is likely a dealbreaker

Yes due to APP (Australian privacy principles) certain data needs to remain/processed in AU region

+1 - doesn't sound like Railway is a good idea otherwise, reading this https://station.railway.com/questions/east-coast-australia-region-3d0bcae9

This would be awesome and would allow us to avoid using AWS in many of our projects. As mentioned above, there are many clients which require hosting in AU for data privacy reasons.

Railway it you are listening...
Australia is all about rules and regulations. The only thing Australia loves more than drinking. Which we love a lot. This means everyone is always going on about and freaking out about data sovereignty. With more and more hacks everyday companies are demanding more
Plus this is a big place. Lots our latency to in the country, gets way worse when we go out.
Your platform is awesome and would do very well. The only reason I haven't gone full scale is because everyone is always asking for sovereignty and speed.

+1, i reckon you could even get away with charging the aussies a $5 premium for an australian based server. honestly i'd pay it. between latency and data sovereignty i'm sure many others here would
