- The help-station has sections for questions and feedback. The same channels are also available on the server. Are these two synced with each other? Are the questions/feedback raised in the Discord server automatically synced to the help-station, or are they manually pushed there?
Oh, I just saw the post guidelines for this channel, and it clearly states that messages posted here are synced with the help-station. Is it true, vice versa?
- Currently, I am on the ** free plan ** and am seeing how things work here. I have deployed a Node.js server via a Dockerfile, and it's running fine. I have even added a custom domain to standardise the API calls.
Now, this means that the service replica will be up and running 24*7, unless I manually remove it?

I have raised a couple of feedback via the help station, but both of them are still in the under-review stage. They were posted almost a day ago

Can someone from the team please specify a demo project and its monthly cost, so that I can better understand how the pricing works?

How do we get to know that a bug bounty has been solved/answered?

It's not completely synced, #✋|help is synced one way to the help station where #✋|help threads appear on the help station but help station threads do not appear in #✋|help, I don't think #🤗|feedback is synced in any way. The one way sync is automatic

On free plan you can only deploy in serverless mode which means your app sleeps when inactive and is woken up when activity starts again. This is not the case on paid plans (the option exists but isn't required), on paid plans your app can stay on 24/7 with no sleeping.

Feedback threads don't necessarily get a response from the team, they're just there if you want to provide some feedback and from time to time the team will respond

This is hard to do because pricing can vary drastically between projects, a Go API server may cost next to nothing while a Python video streaming site may cost a lot more depending on user-base. The team does have public projects available for viewing though I'll go ask where those are at.
I can share some of my costs, a DiscordJS bot of mine is using 1usd a month, a Blog of mine is using 1.03usd a month. I have a wordpress site using 2.5usd a month (Website + Database). Another DiscordJS bot of mine is using 3usd a month and a Plane deployment of mine is using 15usd a month. Hope this provides some base-line for you but it's important to know that this doesn't necessarily mean your app will fall within a similar price range, it can vary a ton between projects.
- I assume via a response from the team
Thanks for the reply, Fragly.
I just saw the other feedback in the help-station, and many have the tag "Under Review" on them. I am sure that means the team is looking into it.
Can you please point me to a bounty that has been marked closed in the help-station, or isn't there any way as a third person to check whether it's been resolved or not?
Assume I purchase the hobby plan, then straightaway I will give $5, and if my services exceeded that limit, than a bill would be created. So, when do I have to pay that amount, so that services run uninterruptly?
What happens when someone hits the max limit for a hobby plan, all services are suspended?

There unfortunately isn't a way for us to query for only solved bounty threads but you can query for all solved threads and just scroll through them, awarded bounty threads are very common, you'll know it was an awarded bounty thread if it contains "amount awarded" on the right (see screenshot)

You're charged for usage on a monthly basis, so you'll be charged for incurred usage at the end of the month. Though there are some rare exceptions where it can happen sooner than a month if Railway suspects a malicious user but it's rare

I assume you mean the resource limit, if you hit your resource limit then nothing will happen except you wouldn't be able to go beyond that usage. Some apps may crash if they don't have handling in place for such scenarios though.

I need to run to a doctor's appointment real quick so I won't be able to respond for about an hour or so

no worries, and thank you!
How to auto-deploy when there is a change in the Docker image?
I just updated the image, but the service did not pick it up. So, I have to do it manually: Command Palette: Deploy Latest Commit. Is there any automatic way of doing that?

There's no official way to auto-update based on Docker image changes unfortunately

the problect is no longer public 😔
How can I mark your reply as the solution for the query, so that you can get the bounty rewards? I cannot find any option

Thank you 🙏
Brody, in case the user forgets to close the query, by not clicking on "accept solution", then do the team autimatically reviews the long-open queries, and do that themesleves, or the initiator's action is must?

The team will periodically review bountied questions on the help station, both solved and unsolved, and award credits

Hmmmm not really, unless the OP marks a message in their thread as the solution, we will never see the thread in our queue.
If the OP forgets to mark something as solved then that's on them.

I think I've been misinterpreting this message then. seems like when the team approves an answer, it says they marked the thread as solved instead of the user

Yes correct, the OP marks a message as the message that solved the thread, and then we mark the thread as solved when paying out the bounty, but if the OP never marks a message as solved, then the thread is never shown to us in the first place, threads are only shown to us when they are awaiting bounty payout.
Thanks for the confirmation@Brody. The initiator's action of marking a post as the solution is must
