Hi there, I'm interested in your referral system; but wondering how claiming might work in the following scenario:
- on behalf of my clients I tend to begin a workspace/account
- set them up a deploy etc.
- then I was planning on getting them to sign up and/or invite them to the workspace and transfer them ownership
I've just noticed the referral system as I'm new to Railway, but enjoying, if I need to retrospectively claim a signup/referral how might I do that?

That would work! Here's our docs on inviting new users: https://docs.railway.com/reference/accounts#referrals.
Once they start paying the invoice you'll get the rewards.
Unfortunately we are unable to retroactively edit referrals.
