Custom Domain Suddenly Stopped Working — CNAME Not Detected Despite Correct DNS Setup

Hi Railway Support Team,

My custom domain www.freshfresh.in suddenly stopped working even though I did not change anything in my DNS settings. It was working earlier, and then without any modification on my side, the domain started showing DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.

When I checked the Railway dashboard, it shows:

“Record not yet detected”

However, my DNS configuration at BigRock is correct and has been the same since the domain was working. I have verified:

  • The nameservers (NS records) are correct

  • The CNAME record for www is correctly pointing as instructed

  • There are no A or AAAA records

  • There are no conflicting DNS entries

  • Public DNS lookup tools show the CNAME is present

Even with everything correct, Railway still does not detect the domain.

I am not a coder, so I need clear, step-by-step guidance on how to fix this and ensure it does not happen again. My website is completely down right now, which affects users and SEO, so this is urgent.

Could you please:

  1. Check whether my domain binding on Railway is still active.

  2. Confirm whether the DNS settings required on my registrar side are correct.

  3. Explain why Railway is unable to detect my CNAME suddenly even though nothing was changed.

  4. Tell me if I need to configure the root domain separately or if additional steps are required.

  5. Let me know if this issue is related to my plan limits.

Can you please use Cloudflare to proxy your DNS? It's the only method I have found to be truly reliable.
