Dear Railway Support Team,

I recently upgraded my account to the Pro plan, but I'm experiencing issues with email delivery functionality in my application.

Issue Description:

  • Email sending works perfectly when running locally on my development environment

  • After deploying to Railway (Pro plan), emails are not being sent

  • Using Gmail SMTP for email delivery

  • No error messages in application logs, but emails are simply not delivered

Configuration:

  • SMTP Provider: Gmail

  • Local environment: Working correctly

  • Railway deployment: Not working

Suspected Issue: I believe Railway may be blocking outbound SMTP connections to Gmail's servers, which is preventing my application from sending emails despite the upgrade to Pro plan.

Questions:

  1. Does Railway block outbound SMTP connections on any plan?

  2. Are there specific ports or services that need to be configured for Gmail SMTP?

  3. Do I need to request any additional permissions or configurations for email sending?

Request: Could you please:

  • Confirm if there are any SMTP restrictions on the Pro plan

  • Provide guidance on proper email configuration for Railway deployments

  • Help resolve this email delivery issue
