I linked my GitHub account to railway but despite configuring the application and giving repository access, it just brings me back to the new project page and asks me to configure it again.

Hey, this issue is related to using the drop down on mobile, as it will always select the first option out of many. What you want to do is to enter your repository's name, so that it is the first option that can be selected when deploying with GitHub.
