Trial credits consumed during GCP outage on May 19

Hi Railway team,

My trial credits were fully consumed during the GCP-caused outage on May 19, 2026. My PostgreSQL service crashed during the incident and entered a crash loop with the error catatonit: failed to exec pid1, which I was unable to resolve since it was an infrastructure-level issue on your end.

I was unable to use the platform for approximately 8 hours, and by the time service was restored, my trial had expired and all my deployments were paused.

My account is linked to GitHub via sa.rodriguezqueirolo@gmail.com. The affected project is surprising-harmony.

I'd like to request a credit restoration or trial extension given that the outage was caused by GCP suspending Railway's production account — completely outside of my control.

Thank you.

Hallo,

I do have the same problem. I was using the trial for about 3 days, so it would be great if my trial credits could also be restored.

Best regards,

Laila

Hey, thanks for flagging this.

We're aware of the issue and have it linked to our incident on May 19th. The team is actively investigating both the Usage page failures and the credit/balance inconsistencies that surfaced after the outage, and we're working on a fix now.

We'll follow up here once we have more to share. Appreciate your patience.

Earlier today you restored my $4.70 trial credits after the GCP outage on May 19. Thank you for that.

However, my credits are showing as expired again. Here's what happened after the restoration:

My PostgreSQL service was still crashing with catatonit: failed to exec pid1 — a leftover from the May 19 incident

I deleted the crashed PostgreSQL service and its associated volume to start fresh

Before I could create a new PostgreSQL service, my credits expired again

Could you please restore the credits again or investigate the billing issue? I haven't been able to use the platform at all since the outage.

Thank you.

Apologies for this canned message but in an effort to help all our customers get back up and running, we are sending this bulk message. As you may know, we had a major interruption to our services yesterday. We've published a post-mortem if you'd like more information on the incident. It describes what happened and what we are doing to prevent it in the future. We are deeply sorry for the impact that it has had on you.

It is taking some time to bring everything back up, but we are working on it as fast as we can. In general, a redeployment should fix most service issues. Due to the volume of customers redeploying right now, builds and deploys may take longer than normal to process.

You can track recovery status here: https://status.railway.com/incident/KVZ1Z8GY

If you are still having other issues that might be related to the incident you can read more here: https://station.railway.com/community/road-to-recovery-post-gcp-outage-builds-d362e48c

Feel free to respond if your question has not been addressed.
