I recently hosted my company’s backend on Railway under the Hobby plan, but I noticed that one of the key features of my application—sending and receiving emails—was not working. At first, I suspected an issue with my code, but after thorough testing and hosting the same backend on another provider (Render), the email functionality worked properly there. This confirmed that the issue was not with my code but due to SMTP port restrictions on Railway. Only after contacting support did I learn that outbound SMTP is disabled on the Hobby plan and only available on the Pro plan, which was not clearly mentioned before I subscribed. Since email functionality is critical for my application, I was unable to continue using Railway and had to migrate my backend elsewhere. Therefore, I kindly request a refund for my payment, as the service could not meet this essential requirement.

Hey there! We've found the following might help you get unblocked faster:
🧵 Request to allow outbound SMTP to smtp-relay.brevo.com:587
🧵 SMTP - Broken Application due to Timeout when sending mails
🧵 [smtp.gmail.com](smtp.gmail.com) is not available on 465 port
If you find the answer from one of these, please let us know by solving the thread!
