Database and Site Data Lost (PostgreSQL)

Hello Railway Support,

My deployed project suddenly went down, and all my data appears to be missing. The database shows as completely empty, and even my site content is gone. I did not intentionally delete anything, and I cannot find any relevant logs in my dashboard.

Here are the details of my project:

Project Name: www.reaarm.com

Database Type: PostgreSQL (Railway-managed)

Approximate Time of Failure: 2:00pm WAT on the 3rd of November 2025

Deployment Method: GitHub auto-deploy

Plan: Paid plan, of 5USD monthly

I would like to know:

1. If my database or project was reset or deleted due to inactivity, a redeploy, or other system event.

2. Whether any backup or snapshot of my database exists that can be restored.

3. If possible, how to recover my data or logs.

Thank you for your time — this project is very important to me. Please advise on the next steps for recovery and how to avoid this issue in the future.

Best regards,

Reaa Resources Management Ltd.

Hey, Railway does not randomly delete your database's content. Volume data are only deleted after a certain period after you have cancelled your plan, more on this can be found in the documentation. Railway doesn't backup your database data, unless you have enabled volume backups (pro plan feature), you will have to backup your own database periodically on the hobby plan. Can you show a screenshot of your dashboard?
